Welcome to Xian, an exceptional new restaurant in northern Atlanta.

The word Xian comes from the name of a city in China known as the city of "Everlasting Peace", the capital of Shaanxi province and the largest city in Northwest China.

With a history of over three thousand years, the city of Xian, called "Chang An" in ancient times, is one of the most important cradles of Chinese civilization. Xian served as China's earliest capital, for eleven dynasties, from the 11th century B.C. to early 10th century A.D., longer that any other capital city in China.

Located in the fertile Guanzhong Plain in China's Shaanxi providence, the ancient capital city of Xian was the starting point of the famous "Silk Road", for over a millennium.

China's silk and exotic spices were introduced by, and transported from Xian to central Asia and Europe. It is because of the history that we chose XIAN as the name of our new restaurant. As the capital city did in ancient times, may Xian, our restaurant, serve as your own "Silk Road", your personal bridge to the tastefully distinct, yet delicate silk tastes of the best Chinese cuisine.
